Jeremy Boo Rochman Memorial Park

Jeremy Boo Rochman Memorial Park Homewood Drive Carbondale

Dedicated to a 19-year-old boy who loved Dungeons and Dragons, this park features climbable sleeping dragon sculptures, castles, mazes and other fantasy elements. It’s a great way to spark imagination and inspire kids.

Barret Rochman, president of a local investing firm, bought 3.5 acres across the street from his son’s home to build a memorial park. He hired sculptors to create Tolkien-inspired art in wood, stone, metal and cement. Some of it is based on Jeremy’s hand-painted D&D miniatures. Get More Info!

The park is a tribute to a 19-year-old man who died in a car accident and was a big Dungeons & Dragons fan. His father, Barrett Rochman, bought 3.5 acres across the street from their home and dedicated it to a fantasy land that his son would have been proud of.

The park features Tolkien-inspired art in wood, stone, tile, metal and cement. Some of the statues are modeled after the hand-painted miniatures Jeremy left behind. The park’s owners hired sculptors, carvers and painters to create the sculptures. It’s a beautiful, well-kept and fun park for everyone to enjoy! Admission is free, but donations are accepted to help keep the park clean and in good shape.

Play Structures

There are a lot of things to look at and do at Jeremy Boo Rochman Memorial Park Homewood Drive Carbondale, but the most impressive is undoubtedly the castle playground/jungle gym. This elaborate creation combines an enormous castle-like tower with hidden passages, trick doors, thrones, and a whole slew of other wacky features.

The centerpiece is a life-sized, multi-colored dragon (it’s not a real dragon, but a statue based on its scale). There are also giant wizard statutes, a sea serpent bench and a fountain. The best part is that it’s free, but donations are appreciated to keep the place in good working order. It’s a truly magical place for kids and their parents, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re looking for the perfect photo or a day full of fun and imagination, you’ll be glad you made the trip to this unique and memorable park.
